Surprise Hotel Proposal
(Monterey County)
Plan a visit to the Monterey Peninsula and spend the night (we can suggest some great places to stay). We will decorate your hotel room with any one of our unique hotel room designs. After registering at the front desk, you will act surprised when you enter the hotel room and find it decorated (DO NOT take a bellman with you - you have to pull off the surprise on your own).
Pretend to "call down" to the front desk and say that you were checked into the wrong room (for effect we'll leave a note card in the room with another person's name on it). Leave the room to go pick up the "right" room key. When you "return" in a few minutes to the room and she opens the door, get down on one knee, offer the engagement ring and say, "I may not have a key to a new room, but I hope I have the key to your heart."
Alternate Ending: Hand her the card key packet with the engagement ring inside. Ask her to open the envelope and watch her face light up.
